Offering all the beauty of Northern Michigan, L’Arbre Croche is home to a unique community, committed to preserving the beauty of the natural environment.
Here you can find it all, a tranquil forest, rolling waves and a sandy beach, all steps away.
The rich history of L’Arbre Croche speaks to the recognition of its beauty. The Ottawa’s called it Waugonawskisa. The French fur traders and missionaries called it L’Arbre Croche, meaning crooked tree. The namesake massive gnarled tree of three centuries past is gone. The beauty, the magnificent solitude it identified remains.
Still, too, at L'Arbre Croche are the area's natural undulations, the birch, pines and ferns, the natural fragrances of the Northern Michigan woodland. And, of course, the crystal waters of Little Traverse Bay and an almost unbelievable sandy beach.
Individually designed homes and condominiums blend naturally with the terrain and colors of the forest.
The L’Arbre Croche Lifestyle
Additionally, L’Arbre Croche offers amenities that enhance a feeling of relaxation, fitness and well-being. Tennis, pool and sauna facilities are centrally located for the enjoyment of all members and guests. A beach house, serving summer lunches, and a fleet of kayaks and paddleboards are located at the water's edge.
L'Arbre Croche is the ultimate private, year-round residential, resort community offering the finest in family recreation. Club membership is restricted to property owners.
A feeling of community is evident here too. Planned social events are held in the summer, with catered dinners and live music on the beach.
The tennis program is very active under the direction of a full-time tennis pro with mixers and tennis camps. Other activities include a children's day camp, sailing and golf outings at nearby golf courses throughout the summer season.
To support members, the Club offers property management services such as cleaning, weekly inspections, snow removal, delivery of firewood and contracting for maintenance and repair services. Additionally, the Club hires a manager and full-time staff to handle the day-to-day operations including maintenance, bookkeeping and the rental program.
